Well, I've got the game cam out and up in hunting-ville.
And found the right tree for the tree stand.
Here's the view from the ground. I'll remember to get a pic of the sky-view when i actually get up there to hunt.
Then there's the ladder-stick, assembled and strapped ot the tree. 16 feet of sky ready to climb!
And then the tree stand, mounted and ready. Almost. Except I forgot the stabilizing strap and my safety harness, so no fooling around up there today.
And this is the deer-trail view of the stand and ladder. I think maybe they'll not be too startled by the view, huh?
And here's the brother's stand, just up/across the hill 30 yards or so.
And a view from the 'upper' stand that I will install next trip up.
Not bad, got it all ready to go only two weeks AFTER the season started. Now if I could just get out there .....

So how long is your season out there? Out here if your setting up your stand 2 weeks after the opener you've already missed half the season.
I really wished I lived in a state that would have the hunting season actually in the rut. We closed our deer season 2 weeks ago.

Hey CH, sorry I missed this. Never noticed I had a comment to moderate!
Well, the normal bow season goes from Oct 13th or so until the end of gun season, typically in the middle of December. Gun season goes from roughly Nov 17th until the middle of December, so we get plenty of opportunities season-wise, but my life often seems to clog up in the Fall making it a fight to get out. Good thing we have a long season otherwise I'd only manage get out every 2-3 years!
